HappySeeds Cookie Policy

Last Updated: July 28, 2026

1. Introduction and Scope

This Cookie Policy ("Policy") explains how HappySeeds ("HappySeeds," "we," "us," or "our") uses cookies, local storage, pixels, tags, software development kits ("SDKs"), device identifiers and similar technologies (collectively, "Cookies and Similar Technologies") when you access or use HappySeeds websites, applications, account portals, builder tools, project workspaces, deployment pages, Community Template pages, Remix pages, documentation, support pages, marketing pages, subdomains and other online services that link to this Policy (collectively, the "Service").

This Policy describes the main types of Cookies and Similar Technologies we use, the principal providers and tools currently deployed or planned for deployment, the purposes for which they are used, the types of information they may collect, and the choices available to you. Specific cookie names, identifiers, durations and technical behavior may vary depending on your browser, device, region, consent choices, product configuration and third-party provider updates.

The Service is currently intended for users located in the European Union, the United States and Hong Kong. This Policy supplements, and should be read together with, our Privacy Policy, Terms of Service and any other privacy, cookie, AI or product-specific notices we make available through the Service. Capitalized terms not defined in this Policy have the meanings given in our Privacy Policy or Terms of Service.

If you create, Remix, deploy, embed, publish or operate a User Application, workflow, AI agent, page or custom domain through HappySeeds, you are responsible for providing any cookie notice, consent banner, privacy notice and opt-out mechanisms legally required for your End Users. This responsibility applies to Remixed Applications even if the original Community Template included analytics, pixels, embeds, scripts or third-party integrations. This Policy governs Cookies and Similar Technologies used by HappySeeds on the Service and does not replace notices required for your own application or independently configured third-party tools.

2. What Are Cookies and Similar Technologies?

2.1 Cookies. Cookies are small text files placed on your browser or device when you visit a website or use an online service. They help websites and applications function, remember choices and provide information to website operators or third-party providers.

2.2 Common Types. First-party cookies are set by the service you are visiting. Third-party cookies are set by another domain, typically by analytics, advertising or embedded-content providers. Session cookies are deleted when you close your browser. Persistent cookies remain until they expire or you delete them.

2.3 Similar Technologies. Similar technologies may include pixels, web beacons, tags, SDKs, local storage, HTML5 storage, device identifiers, attribution links, embedded scripts and other technologies that store or access information on a browser or device or help recognize a browser, device, account or session.

For convenience, this Policy refers to all of these technologies as Cookies and Similar Technologies.

3. How We Use Cookies and Similar Technologies

We use Cookies and Similar Technologies to operate and secure the Service, keep you signed in, maintain sessions, authenticate accounts, prevent fraud and abuse, detect malware or abnormal activity, remember settings and preferences, provide core builder and deployment functions, process subscription and billing workflows, route traffic and maintain service availability.

Where enabled and lawful, we also use Cookies and Similar Technologies to measure website and product performance, understand usage patterns, identify errors, improve reliability, evaluate product features, analyze marketing campaigns, measure advertising conversions and attribution, and support advertising or remarketing on third-party platforms.

We do not intentionally use Cookies and Similar Technologies to collect biometric identifiers or to collect sensitive personal information for advertising purposes. Non-essential analytics, advertising, marketing measurement and similar technologies are deployed only in accordance with the consent and opt-out approach described in this Policy.

4. Categories of Cookies and Similar Technologies We Use

4.1 Strictly Necessary. These technologies are required for the Service to function and cannot be disabled through our preference center. They support authentication, security, fraud prevention, session management, consent records, load balancing, payment-related workflows and core features.

4.2 Functional / Preferences. These technologies remember choices such as language, region, interface settings, product preferences and cookie choices. If you disable them, parts of the Service may not remember your settings or may not work as intended.

4.3 Analytics / Performance. These technologies help us understand how visitors and users interact with the Service, generally through aggregated, pseudonymized or usage-based signals such as page views, events, referral sources, feature usage, errors and performance metrics.

4.4 Advertising / Targeting. These technologies measure campaign performance, attribute conversions, limit ad frequency, create or improve advertising audiences and support targeted or cross-context behavioral advertising where enabled and lawful. Under some U.S. state laws, these activities may be treated as a sale, sharing or targeted advertising.

4.5 Third-Party Content, Community Templates and User Configurations. If you use or Remix a Community Template, embed a third-party service, connect a custom domain, add scripts or pixels, or configure external tools in a HappySeeds-created application, those tools may set or read their own Cookies and Similar Technologies. You must review the resulting configuration and provider practices and provide End Users with any required notices and choices; you should not assume that the original Template Contributor or HappySeeds has completed that review for your deployment.

5. Specific Cookies and Similar Technologies Used by HappySeeds

The table below identifies principal providers and tools that HappySeeds currently uses or may use in connection with the Service. It is intended as a practical summary of our main Cookies and Similar Technologies rather than an exhaustive technical inventory of every cookie, local-storage object, pixel, SDK event or identifier.

Principal tools and providers. This table is a practical summary, not an exhaustive technical inventory.

Provider Tool / Technology Category Purpose
HappySeeds Account, session, authentication, security, preference and local-storage technologies Strictly Necessary; Functional / Preferences Operate the Service, keep you signed in, secure accounts, prevent fraud and abuse, remember language, region, consent and interface choices, and support core builder and deployment functions.
CookieYes or similar consent-management tool, where enabled Consent banner, preference center, consent logs and opt-out records Strictly Necessary; Functional Display cookie notices, store consent and opt-out choices, apply regional settings, and help demonstrate compliance with consent and opt-out obligations.
Google Google Analytics (GA4) and Google Search Console Analytics / Performance Measure website and product usage, traffic sources, feature engagement, search performance, errors and performance trends so we can improve the Service. Search Console generally supports site-performance analysis rather than placing a visitor cookie itself.
Google Tag Manager and Google Consent Mode, where enabled Tag Management / Functional Manage and deploy tags and help apply consent choices before non-essential analytics or advertising tags are activated, where technically supported.
Google Ads conversion tracking, attribution and remarketing, where enabled Advertising / Targeting Measure advertising effectiveness, attribute conversions, optimize campaigns, and support remarketing or targeted advertising where enabled and lawful.
Reddit Reddit Pixel or similar advertising technologies, where enabled Advertising / Targeting Measure campaign performance, conversions and attribution, optimize advertising, and support audience or remarketing functions where enabled and lawful.
Third-party services configured by users User-added analytics, pixels, embeds, scripts, authentication, payment, database, domain, AI, API or communication integrations Varies by configuration If you add third-party tools to a user-created application, workflow, AI agent, page or custom domain, those tools may set their own cookies or similar technologies and may collect End-User Data.

Cookie names, domains, identifiers, durations and technical behavior may change based on provider updates, browser settings, region, consent choices and our configuration.

6. Our Consent and Opt-Out Approach

6.1 Strictly Necessary Technologies. Strictly Necessary technologies are always active because they are required to provide and secure the Service. They are not subject to consent in most legal frameworks, although you may be able to block them through your browser settings. Blocking them may cause parts of the Service to stop working.

6.2 European Union. For users in the European Union, we will request prior consent before storing or accessing non-essential Cookies and Similar Technologies on your browser or device where required by applicable ePrivacy, GDPR or member-state law. You may withdraw or change consent at any time through our Cookie Preferences tool where available.

6.3 United States. For users in the United States, we provide notices and opt-out choices where required by state privacy laws. If analytics, advertising, marketing measurement, conversion tracking or attribution technologies are considered a sale, sharing, targeted advertising or similar activity under applicable law, we will provide required opt-out choices and honor legally recognized opt-out preference signals, including Global Privacy Control, where required and technically feasible.

6.4 Hong Kong. For users in Hong Kong, we use personal data collected through Cookies and Similar Technologies for lawful purposes directly related to our functions and activities and for the purposes stated in this Policy and our Privacy Policy. Where required by the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance, we will obtain prescribed consent before using personal data for a new purpose or for direct marketing.

6.5 Location and Records. Where we cannot reliably determine your location, we may apply a more protective consent or opt-out treatment for non-essential technologies. We may keep records of consent and opt-out choices, including the time, region, page, policy or banner version and choice made, for compliance and accountability purposes.

7. How to Manage Your Cookie Preferences

You can review or change your choices by using the Cookie Preferences or Your Privacy Choices link that we make available in the Service footer, banner or account settings where available. The preference tool may allow you to accept, reject or manage non-essential categories and to withdraw previously given consent.

Most browsers allow you to refuse, delete or block cookies and clear local storage through browser settings. Because settings differ by browser and device, you should consult the help materials for Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge or your chosen browser. Blocking all cookies may affect login, project editing, deployment, security and other core features.

Some browsers, devices or extensions may transmit Global Privacy Control, Do Not Track or other opt-out preference signals. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control are different signals and may be treated differently under applicable law. Where required by applicable law and technically feasible, we will treat legally recognized opt-out preference signals as a request to opt out of sale, sharing, targeted advertising or certain non-essential cookies, depending on the law, the signal and the technical context.

Cookie choices are often browser- and device-specific. If you delete cookies, use a different browser, use a different device, clear local storage, or access a HappySeeds-created application on a custom domain, you may need to set your choices again.

8. "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" / "Your Privacy Choices"

We do not sell personal information for money. However, if our use of analytics, advertising, marketing measurement, conversion tracking, attribution or similar technologies is considered a sale, sharing, targeted advertising or similar activity under applicable U.S. state privacy laws, we will provide required notices and opt-out choices.

You may opt out through our Your Privacy Choices or Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information link where available, through our Cookie Preferences tool, or by enabling a legally recognized opt-out preference signal such as Global Privacy Control in a supported browser or extension. We will not discriminate against you for exercising privacy rights.

9. Region-Specific Information and Your Rights

9.1 European Union

If you are located in the European Union, our use of non-essential Cookies and Similar Technologies may be subject to ePrivacy rules, the GDPR and member-state laws. You may withdraw consent at any time, and you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to or port personal data as described in our Privacy Policy. You may also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority.

9.2 United States

If you are located in the United States, you may have privacy rights under applicable state privacy laws, including rights to know, access, correct, delete and obtain a copy of personal information and to opt out of sale, sharing, targeted advertising or certain profiling. Cookie-related opt-outs are described in Sections 7 and 8 and in our Privacy Policy.

9.3 Hong Kong

If you are located in Hong Kong, you may have rights under the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance, including the right to request access to and correction of personal data that we hold about you and the right to opt out of direct marketing. You may exercise these rights as described in our Privacy Policy.

10. Children and Minors

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly use Cookies and Similar Technologies to collect personal information from children under 13.

You must not use HappySeeds to create, deploy, embed or operate applications, workflows or AI agents directed to children or minors, or to knowingly collect personal information from children or minors through Cookies and Similar Technologies, unless you independently comply with all applicable child-privacy, parental-consent, age-assurance, platform and online-safety requirements and HappySeeds expressly permits such use where required by our Terms of Service.

If you believe a child or minor has provided personal information to us in violation of this Policy, please contact us using the details in Section 13.

11. Data Retention

Cookies and Similar Technologies may persist for different periods, typically ranging from the end of a browsing session to up to approximately 24 months, depending on the technology, provider, browser or device settings, region, consent choices and our configuration. Some consent records, security logs, fraud-prevention records, billing records or legal records may be retained for longer where necessary for compliance, security, dispute resolution or legal obligations.

Personal information collected through Cookies and Similar Technologies is retained in accordance with the retention periods and criteria described in our Privacy Policy and is deleted, anonymized or de-identified when no longer needed for the purposes for which it was collected or as required by law. You can delete cookies stored on your device through your browser settings.

12. Changes to This Cookie Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our technologies, service providers, product features, user-created application functionality, advertising or analytics tools, legal requirements or business practices. When we make material changes, we will revise the "Last Updated" date above and provide additional notice or seek renewed consent where required by applicable law.
