HappySeeds Automated Decision-Making Notice

Last Updated: July 12, 2026

1. Overview

This Notice explains how HappySeeds ("HappySeeds," "we," "us," or "our") uses automated processing in operating HappySeeds.ai (the "Service"), and what rights you have. It covers two distinct situations: automated processing by HappySeeds in platform operations, and automated decision-making that may occur within User Applications, including Remixed Applications, operated by third parties.

2. Automated Processing by HappySeeds

HappySeeds does not make decisions about users that are based solely on automated processing and that produce legal or similarly significant effects in the ordinary course of platform operation.

HappySeeds does use automated systems for the following limited purposes: account security and fraud detection; abuse and policy-violation monitoring; billing and Credits metering; regional-availability enforcement; and platform performance and stability. These systems may result in automated account restrictions (for example, rate limiting, temporary suspension, or account flags) where our systems identify a high-confidence risk. Where such an action significantly affects your account:

  • You will be notified. We will tell you that an automated action has been taken and the general reason for it, unless we are legally prohibited from doing so or where disclosure would compromise security, fraud prevention, abuse prevention or an ongoing investigation.

  • You may request human review. Contact [email protected] to request that a member of our team reviews the automated action. We will complete the review within a reasonable period and, where applicable, within the time required by applicable law.

  • You may provide additional context. You may submit information relevant to the review, and we will take it into account where relevant and reasonably verifiable.

Where these automated systems involve personal information, we rely on appropriate legal bases under applicable law, such as performance of our contract with you, compliance with legal obligations, our legitimate interests in securing and protecting the Service, or consent where required and obtained. To the extent an automated action is a decision based solely on automated processing that produces legal or similarly significant effects under GDPR Article 22 or similar laws, we will ensure that it is permitted by applicable law and provide applicable safeguards, including the ability to request human review, express your point of view and contest the decision, unless disclosure or review is legally restricted or would compromise security, fraud prevention, abuse prevention or an ongoing investigation.

3. Automated Decision-Making in User Applications

HappySeeds is a general-purpose platform. Operators who build User Applications on the Service may configure those applications to perform profiling or automated decision-making — for example, scoring leads, filtering candidates, or personalizing content. Where such processing occurs:

  • The operator is responsible. The individual or organization that deploys or operates the User Application is the controller, business, personal information processor or equivalent responsible party under applicable law for automated decision-making within that application, including required notices and End-User requests. This remains true for a Remixed Application: Remixing a Community Template does not make the original Template Contributor or HappySeeds the operator of your deployment or responsible for your automated decisions.

  • High-risk uses are restricted. Our Terms of Service prohibit operators from using the Service to make or materially inform decisions with legal or similarly significant effects (such as credit scoring, employment decisions, or insurance underwriting) without all required legal authorizations, human-review mechanisms, and disclosures required by applicable law. HappySeeds does not provide sector-specific compliance infrastructure for such uses. In the EU, certain AI systems used to make or materially assist decisions affecting individuals may also be subject to the EU AI Act, including requirements relating to transparency, human oversight, logging, impact assessment and explanations for certain high-risk AI systems.

  • End User rights. If you have been subject to an automated decision made by a User Application built on HappySeeds, contact the operator of that application directly using the contact details in its own notice. The operator is required to handle your request.

  • The Terms of Service govern Community Templates, Remix rights and Project Source Notices. Attribution to an original Template Contributor or HappySeeds identifies project provenance only and does not transfer operational control or automated-decision responsibility.

4. Your Rights (HappySeeds Platform Processing)

In relation to automated processing by HappySeeds itself described in Section 2, you have the following rights, subject to applicable law and verification of your identity:

  • Request human review of any automated account action that significantly affects you.

  • Express your point of view and submit information relevant to the review.

  • Contest the outcome and request reconsideration.

  • Receive an explanation of the main reasons for the action.

  • Access the personal data used in the automated processing and request correction of inaccurate data.

We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights. To exercise any right, contact [email protected].

5. Changes and Contact

We may update this Notice to reflect changes in our automated systems, product features, or legal requirements. We will revise the effective date and, for material changes, provide notice through the Service.
