Cloud Services Overview

Cloud is the workspace area for backend services, custom domains, secrets, logs, and third-party integrations connected to your project.

What Cloud is for

The Cloud tab collects project-level services that run outside the visual page itself. It is where you inspect and manage infrastructure-like features after AI has generated or connected them.

Cloud includes:

  • Database for tables and row data
  • Domains for custom website domains
  • Secrets for environment variables and private tokens
  • Logs for runtime activity and errors

What AI can do

AI can help create the app logic, initialize a database, wire a form to saved data, or prepare setup steps for an integration.

For example, you can ask:

  • Add a waitlist form and save submissions to the database.
  • Connect this project to Stripe checkout.
  • Add Google sign-in to this app.
  • Store this API key as an environment variable.

What you still control

Some setup cannot be completed by AI alone. You may still need to provide accounts, permissions, DNS records, or API keys from another service.

Use this rule: AI can build the connection, but you own the external account and credentials.

When to open Cloud

Open Cloud when a project needs data, domains, private keys, or debugging information. For visual edits, stay in Preview and chat. For public sharing, use Deploy and Share.
