Assets and Code

Assets and Code are the workspace areas for inspecting the files, media, and generated implementation behind your project.

Use Assets when you need to manage files and images. Use Code when you need to understand the generated implementation or diagnose a technical issue.

How Assets works

The Assets panel shows uploaded and generated project resources. You can browse files, filter by type, switch between grid and list views, preview supported files, and upload new resources.

Uploads support files up to 10 MB.

What you can do with Assets

  • Browse generated files: Review images, documents, videos, and other resources used by the project.
  • Filter by file type: Narrow the list when a project has many resources.
  • Upload supporting files: Add images, documents, or other assets the app needs.
  • Preview resources: Open a file to confirm it is the right one.
  • Organize review work: Use list or grid view depending on how many files you need to inspect.

How Code helps

Code is for implementation inspection. It helps when you need to answer questions such as:

  • Which files did AI generate?
  • Where is this screen or component implemented?
  • Why does a route, layout, or integration behave this way?
  • What details should I share with a developer?

For normal editing, keep using chat. Ask AI for the change you want, then verify it in Preview.

Which feature should I use?

Use Assets if:

  • an image is missing or outdated
  • you need to upload a file
  • you want to check whether a resource exists
  • the issue is about a file, media, or document

Use Code if:

  • the issue is technical
  • a developer asks for implementation details
  • you need to inspect generated files
  • Preview shows a behavior that needs deeper diagnosis

Limits and safety

Do not upload private secrets as files. API keys, tokens, and environment-specific values should go in Cloud > Secrets.

Large files over 10 MB may be rejected. Compress large media before uploading, or use an external asset host if the file is not meant to live inside the project.
