Troubleshoot Generation and Preview

Troubleshoot Generation and Preview helps you figure out whether a problem comes from the prompt, the generated workspace result, or the published page.

If the page changed the wrong way

Send a narrower follow-up prompt. Do not only say “this is wrong.” Tell the AI what to keep and what to change.

Useful examples:

  • Keep the layout, only replace the hero image.
  • Update the pricing block only. Do not change the rest of the page.
  • Keep the new colors, but restore the previous headline.

If the preview does not match the message

Trust the preview. The explanation may say a task is done, but the preview shows what actually changed.

If the change is missing, retry with a more specific target area. If a file or asset seems missing, check Assets or Code before assuming the prompt failed.

If the public page looks outdated

The public page updates only after publishing. If Preview looks right but the live URL is stale, open Deploy and publish again.

Preview URLs are designed for short checks and expire after 30 minutes. If someone needs to review the project later, send the published URL instead.

After publishing, open the public URL in a fresh tab and confirm it matches the current preview.

If you need to report a problem

Keep the project open and include enough context for someone else to reproduce the issue:

  • what you asked for
  • what happened instead
  • a screenshot when the issue is visual
  • the public URL if the problem only appears after publishing
